The most complete volcano day on the island. With a National Park certified guide you explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park's dramatically changed landscape — the historically large collapse of Halema'uma'u Crater reshaped Kilauea permanently, and standing at the rim makes that legible in a way no photograph does.
From there the day turns unexpected: a tree-to-chocolate tour at a 1,000-acre tropical farm, following cacao from the trees to the finished bar, and a stop at Rainbow Falls in Hilo. Park and farm fees, lunch, snacks and all gear are included. Ages 6 and up. Long day — 11.5 hours from Kona, 7 to 8 from Hilo.
