From December 15 to April 15, Gemini runs two whale watches a day off Ka'anapali. The morning sail leaves at 8:00 AM, when the water is typically at its calmest and the light is best for photographs.
A professional marine naturalist sails with you, narrating humpback behavior as you see it — breaching, tail slaps, mother-and-calf pairs — and drops a hydrophone over the side so you can listen to whale song live.
A catered continental breakfast and coffee are served onboard, and the complimentary bar is open.
Gemini loads guests directly from the sand at Ka'anapali Beach. Whales are wild animals; sightings are typical in season but never guaranteed.
