Kauai Sea Tours' flagship day trip. The 60-foot Lucky Lady leaves Port Allen at first light and runs north along Kauai's southwest coast, with Niihau on the horizon and the ridges of Kokee and Waimea Canyon inland, before rounding Polihale — the longest white sand beach in Hawaii — and turning up into Nā Pali itself.
Nā Pali means 'the cliffs', and from the water they are 3,500 feet of green: hanging valleys, waterfalls, sea caves and beaches with no road to them. Spinner dolphins routinely escort the boat, turtles are common, and humpbacks are there from December to April. The boat has a waterslide, a swim platform, freshwater showers and two restrooms.
