Kona has its own volcano, Hualalai, and almost nobody gets onto it. This trip has exclusive private access: a three to four mile hike through untouched native cloud forest, along the edges of volcanic craters that plunge deep into the earth, and through a section of lava tube.
Five hours, ages 8 and up, with several short stops along the way. Views run down the Kona coastline the whole time. The best half-day hike on the island for guests who want something genuinely off-limits to the general public.
