Watch the sun come up over Haleakalā's summit basin, then ride the legendary "Fabulous 29" switchbacks back down toward the sea — Maui's signature morning adventure, fully guided. The pre-dawn drive climbs from sea level to nearly 10,000 feet in about an hour. After sunrise at the House of the Sun, your guide leads the group down through the national park boundary and out across upcountry Maui, with stops for photos and for the story of the mountain. Everything you need to ride is provided — KONA® downhill mountain bikes with hydraulic disc brakes, Bell® helmets, Helly Hansen® rain gear and DAKINE® packs. National Park admission is included, and non-riders can join the extended vehicle tour. Riders must be 15 or older, over 4'10", under 300 lbs, have recent riding experience and wear closed-toe shoes. Check-in times shift with the season — we'll confirm yours when you book. Dress warmly; summit temperatures are near freezing. This is the drive-in option: you meet the team at Bike Maui's office. Resort pickup is not included.
